I’m Marcus Tirado, a second‑generation Puerto Rican entrepreneur who found my way to opening Catmosphere after Sophia first mentioned the idea in December 2024. Growing up in a household where allergies kept pets out of reach, I didn’t have my first cat until 2019, and that late introduction changed everything—sparking a love for animals and a desire to build a space that brings people and cats together. Much of my inspiration comes from my grandparents and their simple homestead way of life in Puerto Rico—practical, generous, and rooted in community—which I try to honor in every part of this café. Moving to South Jersey during COVID reshaped my priorities and connected me deeply to Collingswood; over the past few years I’ve become more involved locally, turning those neighborhood bonds into the foundation for Catmosphere. This café is the result of those threads—family, community, and a shared love of coffee and cats—so come grab a cup, meet the cats, and support something built from the heart. Go Birds.
